Helmur women’s knitwear is made of fine, well-finished jumpers in wool and merino wool: to wear on their own or under a coat or jacket without adding bulk.

Merino wool or wool

Merino wool has a very fine fibre: it keeps you warm without weighing you down, feels soft against the skin and stays comfortable when you move from the cold outside into a heated room. Wool has more body: a wool jumper is warmer and more structured, but never bulky.

Crew-neck jumper

The crew neck is the most versatile jumper: it looks good on its own, over a shirt or under a coat, and goes with jeans as well as smart trousers.

Women’s roll-neck

A roll-neck (or turtleneck) sweater keeps your neck warm without adding thickness. It is the knit to wear under a coat on the coldest days, and in a dark colour it is already an elegant look.

How to wear it

Our jumpers are designed to go under our women’s coats and women’s jackets. The fit follows the shape of the body: if you prefer a looser jumper, each product page has a size tip, and our size guide lists all the measurements.
